Welcome to the online portfolio of J. Roche Illustration.
At the helm of this enterprise is one Jackie Roche, Illustrator. I studied Illustration and American History at the Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford.
My purpose as an Illustrator is to tell stories with pictures. Good, compelling stories, which require beautiful, technically sound images. To do this often requires lots of research, drawing, travel, pantomime, and model building, and it's all absurdly fun.
The new children’s book The Derby Ram, adapted by John M. Feierabend and illustrated by me, can now be purchased online through Barnes & Noble or Amazon, Horray!
